As We Come Back to Together
June 4, 2020
The first and most important thing to remember this Sunday is we, as the body of Christ – the Church, are coming together for the purpose of worship. In fact, that is what we will be studying during our worship time – WORSHIP.
A few important things to note however are:
PLEASE USE THE FRONT DOORS
The doors that will be propped open for your access to the building will be the 3 doors across the front of the building, the North entrance with canopy as well as the Love and Learn doors. All other doors will remain locked.
As you enter please pick up pre-packaged communion in zip-lock baggies. Baggies will have one cup or two cups. Please pick up enough for your family (and hang onto the zip-lock baggies – more to follow on that).
If you have children, also as you enter there will be packages for all of our Sprouts group to pick up that will go along with and aid in their time of worship as well.
[Update 3.2021--- Children's Training Hour has resumed their time together. Rather than retrieving a bag as they come in, they will be invited to the Youth Suite for their lesson following the Lord's Supper.]
CHOOSING A SEAT
When you enter the auditorium, you will notice that every other row has been marked off. There is exactly 6 feet between each pew marked off.You are encouraged to sit in family units but it is not mandatory.
With this in mind everyone is asked to simply respect social distancing practices of others.
[Update 3.2021--- The righthand side of the auditorium now has the ropes removed. Members using this section are asked to use their discretion. This space is recommended for those who are low-risk, have been vaccinated, etc.]
BE RESPECTFUL & MINDFUL OF OTHERS
With respectfulness in mind, please realize that not everyone has the same comfort level of space as you may have. So, please be respectful of their space and social distancing practices. If you intend to shake a hand or give a hug, please do not take offense if someone chooses not to do so. This is not meant to be offensive but is the reality during this time everyone has different comfort levels of social distancing. The main thing that is encouraged is to treat everyone with love and respect of their personal preferences. We are Christians and brothers and sisters in Christ so let’s do everything love with respect for one another.
WORSHIP IS A TIME WITH THE FATHER
Our service will be conducted as we had been prior to this pandemic. Worship the Lord in spirit and truth.
If you prefer to wear a mask during our time together you are welcome to do so but again realize not everyone may be wearing a mask and you are encouraged to be mindful, loving and respectful of each other’s preferences during this time.
PLEASE EXIT THE BUILDING AFTER WORSHIP HAS ENDED THROUGH THE NEAREST AUDITORIUM DOORS
At the conclusion of our service, you are asked to exit to the exit door of the auditorium nearest you – remaining respectful and considerate of others social distancing practices [Update 3.2021--- This practice has begun to end, as well. However, we ask that you continue to be mindful of others. Fortunately, the beauty of spring makes it easier to have conversations outside--- where the fresh air makes interactions lower risk.]
At each exit of the auditorium the plan is to have garbage cans for you to throw away your prepackaged communion cups put back in the zip-lock baggies.
Also, as you exit the building there will be buckets or plates for you to place your contribution/offering. There will be a locked box located in the main foyer/lobby area.
[Update 3.2021--- Online giving also remains to be an option. Please follow the link on our homepage.]
The goal is for everyone to feel as comfortable as possible while we worship The Almighty God together, seeking also to encourage one another, yet practice social distancing to some degree and respect each person’s personal preferences. Thank you for your cooperation as we come back together as the body!
